About the Artist
Lucy Anderson is a Brisbane-based artist who works primarily with painting and printmaking, often translating personal, familiar imagery into playful, slightly ambiguous forms. Since graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Queensland College of Art in 2012, she has presented solo shows, participated in numerous group exhibitions and prizes, and is held in both private and public collections, including Queensland University of Technology. Her practice foregrounds simple materials, a deliberately unpolished finish, and a stream-of-consciousness approach that nods to childhood memories, domestic life, and folk-like symbolism.
