About the Artist
Jim Mooijekind (b. 1992, Haarlem, The Netherlands) is a painter whose dense, figurative canvases fuse dark humor with raw emotional introspection. Working from his home city of Haarlem, he stages an autobiographical avatar amid a collision of art-historical references, deranged 1990s cartoons, and spiritual symbolism, deconstructing and reconstructing familiar imagery until it becomes unmistakably his own.
