Curator's Note
“Whisper Sweet Nothings feels like a fragment of an overheard conversation—loose, rhythmic marks circling an implied figure or presence without ever fully pinning it down. I’m drawn to how the acrylic gestures hover between writing, music notation, and bodily outline, suggesting intimacy and emotional noise all at once. It’s the kind of work that rewards being lived with: you catch new connections between lines and spaces each time, like remembering a different part of something someone once whispered to you.”
About the Artist
Luc Pierre (b. 1966) is a contemporary French artist whose practice sits between drawing, collage, and painting, often informed by his background as a musician. Working through cycles of composition and deconstruction, he builds layered, rhythmic surfaces that read like visual scores—abstract “short stories” that invite viewers into an open, often psychological narrative space. His work has been presented with galleries and platforms across Europe, and he continues to develop a distinctly musical, collage-driven language from his studio in France.
